Women are more at risk of mental illness after having a baby than at any other time in their lives. The worst cases involve postpartum psychosis, which can occur without warning and can lead to suicide or to a mother killing her baby. Tina Stallard produced and filmed this award-winning film for BBC 2 Newsnight, which looks at how this devastating condition has affected the lives of three women and their families. A longer version of the film was broadcast on BBC World News and the story was also featured in the Sunday Times Magazine.
